the continual raspberry pi project has been a success.

managed to get not only my emulator running fine, but installed a shortcut to the steam streamer as well. so no need for windows anymore. plus a proper controller - i found an ancient xbox 360 controller that works a treat. the steam streamer is a LITTLE soft when it comes to sound, though. that's the next google search.

oh, and also if i can get KODI running on the thing. hell, im not even going to need a touch screen for the thing anymore. going to operate completely off the controller!

You may need to tweak your gain.

That makes sense. Hopefully it's a simple fix like upping the output level on the application, and you don't end up down the Linux audio rabbit hole. It's a funny place when you start juggling pulse, alsa, output devices, transcoding and the rest of it.
